Founded in
1893, the Montreal Council of Women / Le Conseil des femmes de
Montréal (MCW/CFM) is a non-partisan coalition of
sixty-eight organizations and approximately seventy individuals in and around
Montreal working to improve conditions and quality of life for
women, their families and society. MCW represents over 30,000
women. Through study, discussion and
action, MCW members
inform themselves and those in their communities with a view to
achieve these goals. Organizations and individual women with similar objectives are
invited to join us. Meetings are held on the first
